When walking into the model home in Cotswolds, we often hear “Where did you get this?”, “Who decorated this place?”, or “Oh, I love this piece!”. While we hired an interior designer, most of us just can’t find that in our budget (or want to try our odds at DIY).
Websites (like Pinterest) show incredible focal pieces and accents without so much as a hint to where you can buy something just like them. Or maybe you picked up an out of date home décor magazine and was left at a dead end. Houzz is like the Pinterest for home décor and more. Fascinating pictures of homes, gardens, and furniture await with ideas you can pluck for your own home improvements. What makes this website and app differ from the competition is that you’re able to pick a specific room, how much you’re willing to spend, and areas near you with contractors that are able to do the job. As you narrow your search certain pictures will show up with green tags on pieces of furniture. These tags are links to where you are able to buy that certain item. -Or simply shop for furniture as that is also another option.
Other great features of this site provide advice in the forums. Post a picture and have others give you ideas or personal instructions on how they made their furniture, etc.
When it comes to decorating your home or updating your real estate to sell, Houzz provides excellent ideas and furniture options at the tip of your finger. Click on the button below to get your ideas going!
